  1. I love eating nopales cactus. It’s good first stir-fried and then put into bean & rice burritos.
Also, harissa is really good in olive oil as a bread dip. :)
And coconut oil is just heavenly… it’s great in baking & if you cook with it, food gets a thai or indian taste.

  2. I love this list! There are so many amazing foods on here that I love. I just tried golden beets a couple of weeks ago and was BLOWN away. They’re really hard to find, but totally worth it. Glad you found my blog, Teniesha! Can’t wait to hear how you like my raw carrot cake cheesecake :)

  3. This is a great list! I feel compelled to make one now. I think it’s really neat that you have aloe vera on it – I’ve wanted to try it too! If you can get ahold of the “Cool Slaw” recipe from Appetite For Reduction, it’s a pretty decent vegan coleslaw. This is just so awesome, I’m amused by things like this. :P

  4. For a non grape fruit wine, my personal favourite is cranberry. I don’t like dry wines but neither do I like them overly sweet, cranberry wine was so perfectly tart and crisp and delicious – I have wanted more ever since. We got it at a winery in the Black Hills called Prairie Berry, they had TONS of different interesting fruit wines, including pumpkin of all things. Another good one, especially if you are ever in Quebec, is apple ice wine. It’s basically a hard cider but the end of season apples must freeze naturally on the trees before being pressed and fermented. It is incredibly sweet (the freezing concentrates the sugars) but very very delicious.

  5. This is SUCH a great idea. I’ve been trying out veganism for the past 4 weeks and I have been loving trying new foods! I’m going to borrow this list from you and make it a goal to eat lots of these foods :) I love that being vegan means broadening food horizons!

  6. Knishes! I can give you some fab fillings for them! How about Tofu Blueberry and Sweet Potato with ++++? GoGo for it Superwoman.
